writing in a new date

It would be nice to go to the local coffee shop in the morning and have a partner to sit and write with. I'm an early riser and usually get to the cafe at 6 or 630 a.m. and only stay for half [ an hour tops]. I'm also somewhat of a video artist and sound recorder. I've used this to put my words in a more "floral" context for my own enjoyment. It's pretty fun. Now I'm wanting to make stories about SantaFe NM. it's a drab little town so it helps to get a little creative about this little "hell hole". It's a fun tourist place, but it's like anyplace, the common ness of it's interest really wears thin,... uhm... after the 1 month. dating here is dreadful. mostly local folk. I don't like to berate the prospects too much, but it is rather conservative and beyond inbred. I don't necessarily mean that literally, (maybe to some extent), but in the sense, these folks have lived with one another for centuries and well, actually, when I'd worked for the local PBS station, we'd done an episode on this area specifically denoting it for the prestigious identity, that,... this was the original place of ghetto gangs? the feuding family from 5 hundred years has it's legacy in waring turf wars leading to the current modern "gangs" of today. Of course, most of the local youngsters don't know their own history of 'why' they're fighting, but... this place resonates with a few hundred years of that kind of "inbred" ingrown hatred. It's very deep with religion and local customs. Gladly, I'm not from here, I'm a displaced Californian, but enjoy the clean air and solitary life that I have. It would be great to meet someone who's ... broad minded? has a life that's more ? hmmm. cosmopolitan in nature? I really don't mean to sound anything but a little disenchanted with my surroundings. It is dreadful here, but writing has been a wonderful escape to dream beyond my current place. I hope to meet someone who has imagination.
