Amateur - But Trying

While I haven't actually finished a novel yet, writing is definitely one of my greatest passions. The result of reading from a young age, my love for writing was birthed by a desire to create my own stories, like the ones I was reading. I love that I can completely engage my own mind to create something new and exciting that someone else can read. It's like letting my readers in to a little piece of my head, and engaging them in my own private fantasy. My primary problem with continuing and finishing my unfinished works, I think, is that I get ahead of myself. The story goes further in my head than what I have on paper, and by the time I get to writing it down, it seems like old news. Something I am working on.
